Who issues bitcoins?

The process of creating bitcoins is called mining, and the people who mine cryptocurrencies are called miners.

Computers, which can be located at any point on the globe, solve complex mathematical problems issued to them by the program's algorithm. The program creates new bitcoins as a form of "payment" for solving these problems.

The complexity of the problems that need to be solved to receive the digital currency continuously increases. In the beginning, bitcoins could be mined from an ordinary home computer, but with the increase in complexity, mining is now only possible with costly, purpose-built equipment.
