On June 7, 2013, Chairman of the Alpari Supervisory Board Andrey Dashin was appointed to the post of Chairman of the Alpari Board of Directors.
Dashin was brought in to oversee the daily operation of Alpari in 2000 and continued working in this capacity until 2009. Under his direction, Alpari evolved from a small dealing center into the largest Forex broker in Russia and a global leader in the industry. From 2009 to 2013, Andrey served as the Chairman of the Alpari Supervisory Board, where he dealt mainly with big-picture strategic planning. In June 2013 Dashin was recognized with a personal award at the Financial Elite of Russia Awards for his "Contributions to the Development of the Forex Market in Russia".
In his new post, Dashin will play a more active role in the management of Alpari and have more influence over the day-to-day operations of the company. The move is part of a restructuring in Alpari management that is intended to expand the oversight of the Board of Directors, streamline decision-making and strengthen Alpari’s competitive position in the market.
