The Korea Match Cup, the second stage of the Alpari World Match Racing Tour sailing regatta, just wrapped up in Korea. It was a Swedish team led by Bjorn Hansen that walked away with the prize. The sailing regatta, which is sponsored by Alpari UK, is scheduled to continue through December of this year.
A crowd of more than 170 thousand showed up to the Jeongok Marina in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea to watch the event. Also in attendance were representatives from Alpari UK, there to answer any questions spectators had about currency trading.
The Alpari team was also joined by a very special guest - Australia's legendary skipper Peter Gilmour, the only 4-time champion of the World Match Racing Tour. Gilmour spoke to sailing fans and offered some advice to this year's competitors.
Next up in the Alpari World Match Racing Tour is the Stena Match Cup in Marstrand, Sweden. The third round of the tour is set to get underway July 2. If you're in the area, we encourage you to stop by the event to take part in our Currency Catch trading contest.
