Brent and WTI Surpass $49

The price of oil on Wednesday is rising. Brent on July contracts is trading at $49.27 per barrel and WTI with July delivery is going for around $49.25 per barrel. The spread between the two benchmarks has reduced, signalling the start of a new shift. The quotes have made it almost to $50 per barrel and the bulls are likely to break this level if positive stats come out.

Brent Set to Continue Trading $40.5-41.5

Friday’s oil prices have frozen due to a lack of reasons for further growth. It’s possible that the time of price correction is upon us. Today Brent on May contracts is trading at around $41.3 per barrel and WTI with April delivery is going for $41.4 a barrel.

President’s Day and Asian Woes

The external factors to today’s trading are multiple. The US markets closed sharply up on Friday, with the S&P futures index growing steadily. Oil quotes are continuing to rise. Last Friday saw a sharp jump in oil prices after the UAE stated that OPEC members are ready to cooperate regarding a possible reduction in oil production.

Brent Could Restore to $36 per Barrel
